Hi PM,
thank you for your comments. I agree that learning to delegate is a great time saver. We are not restricting the blog to anyone in particular. We are members of CILIP (the Library Association) and join up with TVPIP for events. Feel free to republish with acknowledgement of where you found the information.

The best way I deal with Information overload is by delegating tasks and I keep myself on a higher level. I think I'm becoming a pro in delegation. When I delegate, then I don't have to worry about the information on a lower level, and thus I won't have and Information Overload problem.

Btw, I like the title of your blog a lot. Are you planning to restrict the posts on your blog to Project Management (since you're an APM member I assume).

One more thing, I'm interested in republishing your article "Some Time Management Tips" on PM Hut. Please contact me through the "Contact Us" form on PM Hut if you're interested.

Thanks!

use the functions provided in outlook:

tasks - can be assigned a priority and reminders can be set

use follow-up flags on emails both received and sent, this neatly puts them in their own folder so you can see which emails you need to respond to

set emails to expire so you don't overload others with information they don't need

turn email off - only check first thing, lunchtime and before you leave - you'll be amazed at how much more you can achieve
